Antony has teamed up with a printer who is able to make shop-quality books of children’s work. They are cheap to produce, simple to make and highly motivational – providing a genuine purpose for children to write – and a great way to raise school funds!
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO…. |

STEP ONE
Decide what the book is going to be about. It could be a compilation of stories and poems by all the kids in the school… you might want to create a themed book for World Book Day, a Book of Memories for departing Year Six children or an End Of Year Book, reflecting the rich variety of life in your school throughout the year. Decide whether you want to produce these books as fundraisers and if so how much you are planning to charge. (The production cost per-book will varying between £4.50 and £6.50 depending on the number of pages, the size of the print run and whether you want to include colour images inside the book – contact Antony for details).
Once you’ve decided to go for it contact Antony to discuss things… Infact contact him even before you’ve decided, to talk through any questions you might have… |

STEP TWO
Collect and collate the work. This is really easy – everything can be done in Microsoft Word. It’s advisable to make each chapter of the book a separate file so that they can be rearranged in anyway you like once everything has been gathered together. You can insert as many images as you want. Design the front and back covers as two separate Word files too (these, of course, will always be in colour…) |

STEP THREE
Send the Word files to Antony. He will cast his expert eye over them and advise you on any final changes that might be required to ensure the book looks as good as possible… Once you’re happy he will forward your work onto the printers. YOUR BOOK WILL BE READY WITHIN THREE WEEKS! |

STEP FOUR
Promote the book to the wider school community. (Actually, it’s a good idea to start doing this at the beginning of the process…) You can always order more copies of the books if you need to… |
